15% Vitamin C Lustrum Serum

The 15% Vitamin C Lustrum Serum is packed full of antioxidants to brighten the skin. This powerhouse serum has an array of Antioxidants including 5 potent forms of Vitamin C, 2% Ferulic acid, 1% Vitamin E, as well as Bearberry Leaf Extract, Arbutin, Milk Thistle and Hexylresorcinol to create a visibly brighter, more even skin tone. 

Vitamin C helps brighten skin by inhibiting melanin production. Extensive research shows that the concentration of Vitamin C in skincare should be above 10% but not over 20% as this can increase irritation and there is no further benefits, 15% is the sweet spot for results and tolerance.

Other antioxidants work by fighting free radicals which protect our skin from damage caused by environmental factors such as UV rays and pollutions which. Neutralising these free radicals reduces cellular damage which can stimulate melanin production and cause hyperpigmentation.  

0.25% Encapsulated Retinol Serum

The 0.25% Encapsulated Retinol Serum. Extensive studies have shown that Retinol increases cellular turnover which is shown to naturally decrease as we age. Reduced cell turnover leads to dull skin, increased signs of pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, congestion and enlarged pore size. 

Retinol works on reducing superficial pigmentation through this increased cell turnover, encouraging the presence of new skin cells that have had less exposure to melanin production. Studies have also found that retinol suppresses tyrosinase which is an enzyme required in melanin production.

Our Retinol has been formulated to be encapsulated which allows it to be absorbed deeper into the skin before being activated allowing for effective results without irritation. In addition, this serum contains Ferulic Acid and Coenzyme Q10 which help to even skin tone and lighten dark spots, as well as 4% Niacinamide to protect the skins barrier and aid in the reduction of the appearance of hyperpigmentation.
