Vitamin B3, B5 and Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum

The fist formulation to include is the Vitamin B3, B5 & Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum. With 12% Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) which is going to strengthen and repair our skin barrier, promoting the production of ceramides to create stronger, smoother skin. Along with its anti-inflammatory properties to aid in the appearance of scars. If you suffer from acne scarring, niacinamide also helps balance oil production which will prevent further breakouts and scarring. Along with 1% Vitamin B5 (Panthenol) which acts as a humectant and emollient to attract and trap moisture within the skin, improving moisture levels and retention. The effects of panthenol are shown to aid in skin healing and regeneration, helping to minimise the appearance of scars, while protecting the skin. The serum also includes Hyaluronic Acid (HA), a powerful humectant that can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, creating plump, hydrated skin that helps skin appear smoother and scars less pronounced.

 Hydrated skin is more resilient and can repair itself more effectively which lowers the risk of scarring which is why we include a range of other humectants including Glycerine, Sodium PCA and Polyglutamic Acid, which all work together to attract and retain further moisture throughout all layers of the skin and supporting the skin barrier.

0.25% Encapsulated Retinol

Following this with the 0.25% Encapsulated Retinol Serum which works with our Hydrating Serum to improve the appearance of scars. As the name suggests there is 0.25% Encapsulated Retinol in this serum. While other Retinol Serums on the market boast a higher concentration of Retinol due to the stability created by encapsulating our retinol, this is better absorbed than unencapsulated retinol allowing it to reach deeper layers of the dermis to allow for incredible results all while minimising the risk of irritation. Studies show retinol stimulates collagen production, improving the structure within the skin helping to improve scarring. Retinol also increases cell turner, helping to reduce the appearance of scars by shedding old, damaged skin and promotes new, healthy cells.

 Like in our Hydrating Serum we have included Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) at 4% as it reduces the chance of irritation caused by Retinol, with its previously mentioned anti-inflammatory properties and strengthening of the skin barrier it is extremely beneficial for scarring.  

With the addition of Ferulic Acid which not only stabilises Retinol to enhance its efficacy but also acts as an antioxidant to protect the skin against free radicals that can exacerbate skin damage and scarring.

Willow Herb Extract and Aloe Vera Leaf Extract have anti-inflammatory and soothing properties to reduce redness and sooth the skin. Along with Green Coffee Seed extract that has been shown to improve circulation which aids in the healing process to improve scarring. As well as Coenzyme Q10 which boosts cellular energy production, promoting skin regeneration and repair.
